Passengers travelling from Karachi Airport to Saudi Arabia, including Umrah pilgrims, will have to show proof of vaccination from 10am on November 20, after authorities extended the deadline by one month.
The requirement had earlier been set to take effect on October 15, after which passengers without a vaccination card were to be barred from travelling.
According to a circular, travellers must be vaccinated at least 10 days before departure. A government dispensary at the airport has been offering vaccination 24 hours a day.
For passengers and pilgrims coming from remote areas, the vaccine was also made available in emergencies at the departure lounge of Karachi Airport.
