Diesel Price Jumps as Petrol Price Remains Steady

Pakistan has opted to keep petrol prices steady for the rest of November while raising the cost of high-speed diesel, extending a mixed trend in local fuel pricing. The latest adjustment, which takes effect on November 15, 2025, follows fresh evaluations by OGRA and other government bodies.

The Finance Division confirmed that the petrol (MS) price will stay unchanged at Rs. 265.45 per liter. However, high-speed diesel (HSD) will become more expensive. Its rate will rise by Rs. 6 per liter, moving from Rs. 278.44 to a new level of Rs. 284.44 per liter. These revised tariffs will remain valid through the second half of November.

Two weeks earlier, the government had raised petrol prices despite a drop in global oil markets. Petrol saw an increase of Rs. 2.43 per liter at the last review, pushing the rate from Rs. 263.02 to Rs. 265.45. During the same round, diesel prices also increased. Its price climbed by Rs. 3.02 per liter, setting the new figure at Rs. 265.45.
