Dongfeng Motor Pakistan has officially announced the launch date of its new electric SUV, the Dongfeng Vigo EV, which will enter the local market on January 15, 2026, marking the brand’s debut in Pakistan’s fast-growing electric crossover segment.
Marketed globally as the Nammi 06, the Dongfeng Vigo EV is a compact, fully electric SUV developed by China’s Dongfeng Motor to meet urban and family mobility needs. With this launch, Dongfeng is expanding its presence beyond electric hatchbacks and sedans, stepping into the highly competitive SUV category in Pakistan.
The Vigo EV is expected to offer a WLTP-certified driving range of up to 350 kilometers, powered by a 51.5 kWh battery, making it suitable for daily commuting as well as extended city use. In terms of size, the electric SUV features a 2,715 mm wheelbase, with overall dimensions of 4,306 mm in length, 1,868 mm in width, and 1,645 mm in height, placing it firmly among compact electric SUVs.
Dongfeng’s local partner, Chawla Green Motors, has already introduced the Dongfeng Box EV hatchback and the Dongfeng 007 EV sedan in Pakistan. The addition of the Vigo EV completes a broader electric lineup, allowing the brand to cater to multiple consumer segments as demand for EVs continues to rise due to fuel costs and environmental concerns.
According to company sources, the Dongfeng Vigo EV will come equipped with modern safety and convenience features, including a 360-degree camera system and a Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).

The launch comes at a time when Pakistan’s EV market is gaining momentum, supported by government incentives and increasing consumer interest in sustainable transport. Dongfeng’s entry into the electric SUV space is expected to intensify competition and offer buyers more choices in the mid-range EV segment.
