The Dubai Chamber of Commerce has seen an influx of over 6,000 Pakistani enterprises so far in 2024, accounting for 8% of the total new members for the year. After India, which gained 12,142 companies, Pakistan was the second most populous nation to register with the chamber.

With 70,000 new members in 2024, the active membership of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce which is a subset of the Dubai Chambers swelled to 258,318 a strong 18% growth from 2023.

Although annual data on company nationalities is not yet available, the proliferation of Pakistani enterprises highlights the country’s strengthening economic links with Dubai.

The value of exports and re-exports by chamber members surpassed AED 300 billion for the first time, hitting AED 309.6 billion a 9.2% yearly growth also recorded by the chamber.

His Excellency Abdul Aziz Abdulla Al Ghurair, Chairman of Dubai Chambers, stated, “Dubai continues to strengthen its business-friendly environment, supported by public-private sector partnerships,” emphasizing Dubai’s growing status as a global economic hub. He noted that this environment has created unprecedented opportunities for growth and expansion for companies on both national and international levels.

Beyond its efforts to promote trade, the chamber further enhanced its global standing in 2024 by forming nine new Business Councils. These councils were comprised of investors from Greece, Poland, Mexico, Colombia, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Costa Rica, South Korea, and Vietnam.

With its solid showing in the Global Power City Index 2024 (GPCI), which placed it seventh worldwide and first in the Middle East for two years running, Dubai has solidified its status as an attractive location for investors and entrepreneurs.

A business lawyer stated, “The message for Pakistani investors is clear—Dubai offers an environment designed for bold innovation and rapid growth.” The lawyer went on to say that the trade expo and Dubai’s integrated business ecosystem were two of the main reasons why Pakistani companies might succeed internationally.
