Ducky Bhai Account Recovery Case: NCCIA Seeks More Time

The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday granted the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) additional time until December 15 to submit its report in YouTuber Saad ur Rehman, popularly known as Ducky Bhai’s, petition seeking the restoration of his social media accounts and return of seized cards and devices.

Ducky Bhai had approached the court after his social media accounts, ATM and credit cards, mobile phones, and cash were taken into custody during an ongoing cybercrime investigation. The case revolves around the recovery of these items, which his counsel argues are essential for normal digital and financial activity.

During the hearing, NCCIA’s counsel told the court that the investigating officer was currently in Islamabad and had not yet returned with the case file. The court, acknowledging the submission, allowed further time for the agency to present its report.

Representing Ducky Bhai, the petitioner’s counsel informed the court that all electronic devices were in NCCIA’s possession, adding that the main social media account was also under the agency’s control. He argued that since the matter relates to custody,

“all seized electronic devices, four credit cards, and cash should be returned to the petitioner.”

The court directed the agency to submit its response by the next hearing date.
