eCommerce store CheezMall launches, boasts a supplier base of more than 200,000 Chinese products

CheezMall, an online shopping portal, has made its entrance in the Pakistani e-commerce market with a star-studded launch event in Lahore.

Organized on the 29th January 2016 at Pearl Continent, Lahore, the event featured performances from popular Pakistani musicians and singers including Qurat-ul-Ain Balouch and Mustafa Zahid. Along with CheezMall, Zuk Mobile was also launched at the event. Zuk mobile is a subsidiary of Lenovo and is offering its products exclusively through CheezMall (starting 16 February).

Boasting a chinese supplier base of more than 200,000, Cheezmall is hoping to beat other e-commerce players at their game by introducing daily deals and offering product at extremely low prices as a limited time offer. Currently, they are offering products in only four major categories; Electronics, Home and Bedding, Appliances, Apparels (and some Automobile parts as well).

“E-commerce has already been a phenomenon in all over the world, and with transaction figures continuously reaching to a new record, the most important thing is every individual actually benefiting from these changes! And CheezMall , a company(with a Chinese background) and sophisticated E-commerce operation experience and very powerful supply chain resources, will bring this benefit into Pakistan through its “Flash Sale E-commerce module”, aiming to bring consumer the best product with best price under best service,” said Nino Zhao, the co-founder and Vice President Marketing at CheezMall.

He further elaborated that they will also join hands with Mobicash – Mobilink’s online payment system – to aid customers of CheezMall in their transactions. Moreover, HBL and OCS will also provide their services to CheezMall customers for online credit/debit card payment and delivering products respectively.

One way CheezMall is trying to stand out from the other shopping portals is that it isn’t outsourcing its payment and delivery system, offering Cash on Delivery services on every transaction. While the portal is fully-based in Pakistan, the headquarters and main controlling centre will remain in Shanghai, China.

With Friday’s formal launch, CheezMall becomes another participant in the race to capture the increasingly-crowded e-commerce industry in Pakistan – a market that is already populated with big names like Daraz.pk, TCSConnect, HomeShopping.pk, etc.
