Elance might raise its service charges for small contractors

Popular freelancing website, Elance, might increase the service charges for small contractors or small projects with less payout in the upcoming days. The service charges for different transactions below show a clear trend that Elance will decrease the service charges as you start moving up the payout rate.

Pakistan has one of the biggest armies of freelancers on Elance website. According to a report released officially by Elance, out of 180 countries, Pakistan is 4th country to have the most number of freelancers using the platform.

According to the image above, the average hourly rate of Pakistanis is 12$. This development will have the most effect on small contractors and newbies on the platform, who, initially try to get small projects to get better feedback and ratings.
