Stickers have been a cool and fun way to express your feelings since their introduction for the Facebook chat feature in early 2013. For those who prefer kitties and minions over words, there is more good news as Facebook is adding the ability to put those stickers in comments as well.
Announced by a Facebook engineer Bob Baldwin – the man behind the idea of enriching comments by first adding emoji and then photos – the ability to add your favorite stickers is being rolled-out for Facebook users globally.
“I think stickers will allow people to reply to a variety of posts in a more fun way than words alone,” said Bob Baldwin in a Facebook post announcing the roll-out. “You can now easily show your excitement for a post with good news, cheer up a friend who’s feeling down, and express a variety of more nuanced reactions.”
The user will be able to use stickers in comments on all posts from people, in groups, and on events, by clicking the smiley sign in the right corner of the comment area. Unfortunately for us users (or “fortunately” for the page owners), this feature is not being made available for comments on pages yet.
