Faisalabad Development Authority Adopts Punjab’s e-Filing System

The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has officially implemented the e-Filing Office Automation System (e-FOAS) under the Punjab government’s directives. The move aims to enhance administrative efficiency and streamline daily operations.

To ensure a smooth transition, the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) organised a comprehensive training workshop for Faisalabad Development Authority officials. FDA Director General Muhammad Asif Chaudhry inaugurated the session. Key department heads attended, including Chief Engineer Mehr Ayub, Director IT Yasir Ijaz Chatha, and Director Town Planning Asma Mohsin.

During the workshop, PITB officials Ashfaq Ali and Amar Iftikhar provided detailed briefings on how to operate the system and outlined its key benefits.

Speaking at the event, DG Muhammad Asif Chaudhry emphasised that e-filing is essential to meet future administrative demands and to improve workflow across departments. The session also included practical guidance on correspondence, summaries, record management, and inter-departmental communication to ensure the seamless adoption of the new system.

With the introduction of e-FOAS, the Faisalabad Development Authority takes a major step toward digital governance, ensuring faster processes, better transparency, and improved coordination within its departments.
