Federal Constitutional Court Announces Ramadan Office Hours

Published by

The Federal Constitutional Court has set new office hours for the holy month of Ramadan, adjusting its daily routine across the country. The decision came after approval from the Chief Justice, who signed off on the updated schedule through an official notification.

The revised timings will apply to all court offices in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, and Quetta. As Ramadan approaches, the court has moved to streamline its working hours while ensuring that essential services continue without disruption.

From Monday to Thursday, offices will operate from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Meanwhile, on Fridays and Saturdays, the court will close earlier at 12:30 pm, with working hours set from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. These changes aim to align the court’s schedule with the daily routine observed during Ramadan.

However, the notification makes it clear that no cases will be accepted during the final hour before closing time on any working day. This step is expected to help staff manage workflow more efficiently and avoid last-minute rushes.

At the same time, the court has created room for flexibility. Cases of an extremely urgent or emergency nature will not face standard time limits. Such matters may be received whenever necessary, ensuring that critical issues are not delayed.
