The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has deported 20 more Chinese nationals blacklisted for visa violations linked to an illegal call centre in Islamabad that allegedly produced and sold indecent content, taking the total number of foreign nationals deported in the case to at least 34.
Officials said the deported Chinese nationals had breached Pakistan’s visa regulations during their stay and have been placed on a blacklist barring them from re-entering the country. The move follows the earlier deportation of 14 Vietnamese nationals sent back in connection with the same case.
The case stems from a joint raid conducted by the FIA and the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) on an illegal call centre in Islamabad’s I-10 sector, during which 275 foreign nationals were arrested. Officials said the call centre’s management had recruited foreign men and women to produce indecent content.
The FIA has registered a case against the suspects under the Foreign Act, while the NCCIA has booked them under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act. Authorities said the foreign nationals had entered Pakistan on visit or business visas.
The investigation into the illegal call centre’s activities and the related visa violations is ongoing.
