Punjab is set for a historic boost in higher education as four leading UK universities the University of London, Brunel University, the University of Gloucestershire, and the University of Leicester confirm plans to establish branch campuses in the province.
This initiative comes under Punjab’s vision to make the province a regional hub for world-class education, allowing local students to pursue international-standard degrees without moving abroad.
Alongside the UK institutions, a top Kazakhstani university and South Korea’s new Korean University campus in Lahore will also open. The Korean government will additionally provide a free language learning center to promote cultural exchange.
The Punjab government has allocated land within Knowledge City and will issue SOPs to streamline the setup and operations of these institutions. Officials say this move will ensure advanced curricula, global facilities, and career opportunities for students.
