The French Embassy in Islamabad has issued a public warning against fraudulent individuals and social media accounts claiming they can secure appointments for French consular services and visa-related matters.
In an official statement shared on social media, the Embassy said it has identified posts advertising appointments for services such as marriage registration, family reunification, and OFPRA/OFII procedures. Some of these posts also claim to offer urgent appointments and ask applicants to contact them through private messages or WhatsApp.
The Embassy clarified that no individual or third party is authorized to arrange or guarantee appointments for these services on its behalf and described such offers as fraudulent.
It urged applicants not to engage with anyone claiming they can secure consular appointments in exchange for money or other benefits.
The Embassy also advised Pakistanis seeking consular or visa-related services to use only the official appointment channels provided by the French government.
Visa applications from Pakistan continue to be processed through the official France-Visas system and the French Embassy in Islamabad, with authorities reminding applicants to avoid unofficial agents and misleading social media advertisements.
