Google Expands Opal AI App Builder to 15 More Countries Including Pakistan

Google has expanded access to Opal, its AI-powered “vibe-coding” app that allows users to create web apps using simple text prompts, to 15 new countries, including Pakistan, India, Japan, and Brazil.

Originally launched in the U.S. in July 2025, Opal quickly gained attention for enabling nontechnical users to design interactive mini web apps without writing code. The app now brings its creative coding capabilities to a broader audience across Asia, Latin America, and North America.

“We didn’t expect the surge of sophisticated, practical and highly creative Opal apps we got instead,” said Megan Li, Senior Product Manager at Google Labs. “It became clear we need to get Opal into the hands of more creators globally.”

Opal works by letting users describe the app they want; the AI then builds it automatically using Google’s internal models. Once generated, creators can customize the workflow, adjust prompts, and publish their apps online for others to try.

Google also announced major performance upgrades  including faster app creation times, improved debugging tools, and parallel processing for complex workflows. The no-code interface now allows users to run and modify steps visually, reducing errors and simplifying the creative process.

With this update, Google joins the growing no-code innovation trend, competing with Canva, Figma, and Replit to make AI-driven app prototyping accessible to everyone.
