Google Launches AI Industry Fellowship to Accelerate Enterprise Innovation in Pakistan

Google has officially launched the AI Industry Fellowship Pakistan, a four-month, production-focused program aimed at unlocking 100 new AI opportunities across the country. The initiative is part of Google’s broader national-level collaboration with the Government of Pakistan to strengthen the country’s digital and AI ecosystem.

Applications Open Until November 14

Corporates and large enterprises across Pakistan have been invited to apply to the fellowship by November 14, submitting real-world AI use cases that can be taken from idea to production within the program’s duration. The fellowship is being launched in partnership with SAP and TallyMarks Consulting (TMC), and is designed specifically for organisations already leveraging technology to drive large-scale societal or operational impact.

Google says the program is meant for companies that consider themselves “the serious, not the curious,” emphasising a focus on practical AI adoption rather than exploratory experimentation.

Application Evaluation Criteria

• Pakistan-registered company
• Innovation: Clear AI use case in Generative/Agentic/Data/Security space
• Impact: Scalable product or service with a significant total addressable market
• Commitment: at least 3 employees of applicant organisation for this 4-month engagement. Recommended attendees
• Include: CIO, CTO, Leaders in Product/Data/Tech teams
• Formal support from business leader

Program Kickoff in Karachi on November 18

For organisations accepted into the first cohort, the program will begin in person in Karachi on November 18, where Google Cloud AI specialists, including Hashim Syed, will engage directly with participants to co-develop AI strategies and solution roadmaps.

Members of the Google for Developers team, including Robina Mirbahar and Hassam Jawed, will also participate, offering deep technical guidance throughout the fellowship.

Dual Tracks for Executives and Developers

The fellowship includes two parallel tracks:

• Developer Track: Focused on builders, engineers, and technical architects working on AI implementation.
• Executive Track: Designed for decision-makers responsible for strategy, investment, and organisational alignment.

Google says this dual structure ensures that high-impact AI solutions are not only conceptualised but are also backed by leadership support and technical capability, ensuring they make it to production.
