Google is improving how people edit photos on their phones. The company has added new touch-up tools inside the Google Photos editor. These updates focus on simple and natural-looking changes, rather than heavy filters.
The new tools help users make small but useful edits. You can refine skin texture, remove blemishes, brighten eyes, or whiten teeth. Google says these features aim to “apply subtle enhancements” that keep photos looking real.
Using these tools is straightforward. First, select a face in your photo. Then, pick an option like heal, smooth, under eyes, irises, teeth, eyebrows, or lips. After that, adjust the intensity to match your preference. This gives users better control over how much editing they want.
Google has started rolling out these features worldwide. They are available in the Google Photos app for Android devices. However, your phone must have at least 4GB of RAM. It also needs to run Android 9.0 or a newer version.
