Google Pixel 10 Series Price Leak: Why the Pro XL Might Reach $1,200 and the Pro Fold Fall to $1,600?

Google’s much-anticipated Pixel 10 series, expected to launch this summer, has generated significant excitement among smartphone enthusiasts. While much of the attention has been on the specifications and features of the upcoming devices, a new leak is now revealing potential pricing changes that could have a notable impact on the  smartphone market.

According to a report from Android Headlines, the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL is set to experience a price hike, increasing by $100 compared to its predecessor. The projected $1200 price tag for Pixel 10 Pro XL brings it closer to Apple and Samsung premium smartphone price ranges. The Pixel 10 Pro XL would become substantially more expensive than its predecessor due to the higher price point of $1,200.

Apple authority reports show both the Pixel 10 standard and Pixel 10 Pro will keep their previous pricing from the Pixel 9 Pro. The Pixel 10 maintains its initial pricing at $799 while the Pixel 10 Pro keeps its starting cost at $999.

Reports suggest that the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will come with a reduced price from the launching price of its predecessor. The launch price of the Pixel 10 series foldable version is expected to be $1600, which marks a $200 reduction compared to the $1800 original price of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The price of upcoming Pixel 11 Pro Fold models could experience additional reductions, resulting in a potential cost of $1,500 by 2027.

Google releases four Pixel smartphones annually during the fall period because their lineup includes the Pixel 10 series alongside the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro, followed by the Pixel A-series, which launches in spring each year. The upcoming Pixel 10a smartphone plans to maintain its launch cost at the same level as its predecessor, $499.

Google uses these price adjustments to establish competitive dominance in the expanding premium smartphone market segment. The official Pixel 7 announcement may face upcoming price corrections because of the present global tariff uncertainties along with recent U.S. actions against China, Vietnam, and India.
