Government of Sindh Approves Rs. 2.59 Billion for Tando Allahyar–Tando Adam Road Project

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has ordered the immediate release of Rs. 2.59 billion to fast-track the Tando Allahyar–Tando Adam dual carriageway, a 31.4 km project worth Rs. 9.28 billion aimed at improving transport efficiency and regional connectivity.

The decision came during a high-level meeting reviewing Sindh’s ongoing development projects under provincial and federal collaboration. The CM emphasized the need to accelerate road infrastructure development, calling it “the backbone of Sindh’s economic progress.”

During the meeting, Shah reviewed key infrastructure schemes, including:

  • Sindh Coastal Highway (36 km) worth Rs. 3.7 billion, targeted for completion by June 2027.
  • Rohri–Guddu Barrage Road (105 km) valued at Rs. 17.79 billion to connect Sindh with southern Punjab.
  • Mehran Highway (135 km) costing Rs. 41.03 billion, vital for intra-provincial trade.
  • Sanghar–Rohri Road (221 km) worth Rs. 35.08 billion to support rural economies and agriculture.

He also reviewed the ADB-assisted Sindh Flood Emergency Reconstruction Project, covering 724 km of flood-affected roads, with 538 km already completed. The CM directed authorities to finalize the revised plan extending it to 873 km with an updated cost of Rs. 62.53 billion.

“We are determined to modernize Sindh’s infrastructure, promote regional connectivity, and deliver projects that enhance long-term growth,” said CM Murad Ali Shah.

The announcement underscores the Sindh government’s focus on sustainable road networks and post-flood reconstruction to strengthen economic resilience.
