Govt Launches Digital Skills Training Program for Youth
The Government of Pakistan has launched a major Digital Skills Training of Trainers Program under the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP), aiming to equip young professionals with cutting-edge expertise in AI, e-commerce, data analytics, and digital marketing.
This initiative is part of the government’s broader vision of a “Digital Pakistan”, focusing on empowering youth with globally relevant tech skills to meet future job market demands. In recent years, Pakistan has seen growing demand for digital professionals as global industries increasingly rely on technology-driven solutions.
In the first phase, 200 trainers will undergo online training in collaboration with the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), Uni Services International, and ITMC China. Upon successful completion, participants will receive joint certifications from Pakistani and Chinese institutions.
Speaking at the launch, PMYP Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan said:
“This initiative reflects the Prime Minister’s vision of a Digital Pakistan. Our goal is to empower the youth with global tech skills and create opportunities for sustainable digital growth.”
The programme aims to build a pool of certified trainers who will later train thousands of young learners across the country, expanding the digital ecosystem and boosting employability in global markets.
