Pakistan’s government has announced that Hajj flights under the official scheme will start from April 18, 2026, marking the beginning of this year’s pilgrimage from the country. Over 119,000 pilgrims will travel to the holy cities of Medina and Mecca through a series of flights spanning more than a month.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has made flight schedules available on the Pak Hajj 2026 mobile app and the ministry’s official website.
Flight Details
Under the government scheme, 468 flights will transport pilgrims from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia. Departures will begin from Karachi, Lahore, Sialkot, and Multan on April 18.
- Male Pilgrims: 67,230
- Female Pilgrims: 51,846
- Total Pilgrims: 119,000
Pilgrims will first travel to Medina during the initial 15 days. 186 flights are allocated for Medina, while 282 flights will operate to Jeddah.
The first long-haul flight to Medina is scheduled for May 7, while Hajj flights to Jeddah begin on May 4. The operation will continue until May 21, 2026, covering 34 days.
Airlines and Cities
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), Air Blue, Air Sial, and Saudi Airlines will operate these flights. Pilgrims can depart from eight major cities:
- Islamabad: 129 flights
- Karachi: 124 flights
- Lahore: 104 flights
- Multan: 34 flights
- Sialkot: 26 flights
- Faisalabad: 23 flights
- Quetta: 18 flights
- Sukkur: 5 flights
Pilgrims are advised to check their flight details on the Pak Hajj 2026 mobile app next week when the specific schedules are released.
