Haval H6 Gt Phev Set To Electrify Pakistans Auto Market By Year End

As Pakistan’s automotive landscape rapidly evolves, Great Wall Motors is gearing up to introduce another high-tech contender to the market—the Haval H6 GT Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV). After making waves globally, the sporty hybrid SUV is now expected to arrive in local showrooms by the end of this year, following its anticipated international release in October 2025.

This development comes at a time when hybrid and electric vehicles are gaining momentum in Pakistan, with recent entries such as the Kia EV9, Hyundai Sonata N Line, Jetour Dashing X70 Plus, and the fifth-generation Kia Sportage Hybrid. The H6 GT PHEV is poised to add another attractive option to the increasingly competitive electrified segment.

Sleek Design Meets Functionality

The Haval H6 GT PHEV strikes a bold first impression with its dynamic design. It stretches 4727mm in length, and 1940mm in width, and stands 1729mm tall offering a broad stance and athletic profile. A generous 2738mm wheelbase ensures spaciousness and ride stability.

Signature design elements include LED lighting all around, roof rails, a panoramic sunroof, a shark fin antenna, and a hands-free electric tailgate with memory function. Automatic headlights with a “Follow Me Home” feature and LED fog lamps with assist lighting complete the exterior package.

Modern Interior with Smart Comfort

Inside, the cabin combines tech with comfort, offering a plush driving experience. The SUV features a 10.25-inch digital cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen (with some sources mentioning a 25-inch digital driver display), providing intuitive access to controls and media.

Seating is fully electric: an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support and a 4-way power-adjustable passenger seat. Heated and ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, rear AC vents, a wireless charging pad, a USB port for a dash cam, and a heated steering wheel ensure both comfort and convenience.

The infotainment system supports wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, paired with an 8-speaker sound system for an immersive in-car experience. Rear passengers benefit from privacy glass, making the H6 GT PHEV a solid family choice too.

Powertrain: Performance Meets Efficiency

Under the hood, the Haval H6 GT PHEV houses a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine paired with an electric motor, collectively generating an impressive 321kW of power and 762Nm of torque. This powerful setup is managed by a 2-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) with an all-wheel-drive system.

A 43kWh ternary lithium battery powers the electric motor, giving the SUV a plug-in hybrid advantage—ideal for urban commutes and longer trips with better fuel efficiency and lower emissions.

Top-tier safety and Driver Assistance

Safety is at the forefront with the H6 GT PHEV, offering a full suite of driver-assist features. These include:

  • Dual front, side, curtain, and center airbags
  • ISOFIX child seat anchors
  • Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Traction Control (TCS)
  • Hill Start Assist and Autonomous Emergency Braking
  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go
  • Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keep Assist
  • Driver Drowsiness Detection and Traffic Sign Recognition
  • 360-degree camera, Auto Parking Assist, Reverse Assist, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert

This impressive safety net enhances driver confidence in both urban and highway conditions.

Exact pricing and localized specifications will be announced closer to the launch date. But one thing is clear, the Haval H6 GT PHEV is more than just another SUV; it’s a statement on wheels.
