HEC Announces Engineering Scholarships in Bangladesh for 2026

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced scholarships for Pakistani students in undergraduate engineering and architecture programs in Bangladesh, opening a new opportunity for students seeking quality technical education abroad.

Under the initiative, admissions have been opened for international students at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). HEC has clarified that Pakistani candidates must apply only through the Higher Education Commission, as direct applications to the university will not be accepted. The scholarships are available for selected undergraduate programs in engineering and architecture.

The scholarship program reflects growing educational cooperation between Pakistan and Bangladesh, particularly in science and technology fields. BUET is regarded as one of the region’s leading engineering universities, making the opportunity attractive for high-achieving Pakistani students.

An HEC official stated,

“Students are advised to carefully complete and submit all required documents through HEC to avoid delays in processing.”

According to Officials, the last date to submit applications is January 16, 2026. Applicants have been urged to ensure that their forms and supporting documents are complete and submitted well before the deadline for timely review.
