HEC New Curriculum

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has officially announced an updated curriculum for Business and Management Studies programs, following an extensive review by the National Curriculum Revision Committee (NCRC).

The committee’s latest meeting was hosted at the Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences), Peshawar, where top academicians and subject specialists from leading universities across Pakistan collaborated to modernize the framework. HEC’s Curriculum Division facilitated the review process, ensuring alignment with the commission’s strategic education goals.

The revised curriculum covers BBA, BS, MBA, EMBA, MS, and associate degree programs. It focuses on new market trends, evolving industry requirements, and international academic standards. The updated structure also aligns with the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and HEC’s Undergraduate and Graduate Education Policies 2023, promoting quality and consistency across higher education institutions nationwide.

Dr. Naukhez Sarwar, Professor and Principal at NUST Business School, chaired the session as Convener, while Dr. Farooq-e-Azam Cheema, Provost at KSBL Karachi, served as Co-Convener. The session was coordinated by Hidayatullah Kasi, Deputy Director (Curriculum), who acted as Secretary of the NCRC.
