HEC Launches Fully Funded PhD Program at Top 300 US Universities

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has launched a fully funded PhD program at Top 300 US universities under the prestigious US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor Project, offering outstanding opportunities for Pakistani scholars to pursue advanced research and doctoral studies in the United States.

The initiative is designed to strengthen academic and research collaboration between Pakistan and the US while enhancing Pakistan’s human resource development in key scientific and technological fields.

Under the fully funded PhD program at Top 300 US universities, applicants can apply in two categories. Scholars admitted to Top 50 Universities will receive complete tuition fee coverage, a monthly stipend, and health insurance. Those enrolling in universities ranked between 51 and 300 will be eligible for financial support of up to $12,000 per year for tuition, along with a stipend and health insurance.

HEC said that this initiative reflects its ongoing commitment to providing Pakistani students and professionals with global research exposure and the opportunity to contribute to the country’s academic and economic growth.

The application deadline is November 15, 2025, for Spring/Summer 2026 admissions, and April 30, 2026, for Fall 2026 admissions. Interested candidates can apply through the HEC scholarship portal at scholarship.hec.gov.pk.
