Honor 8X wins ‘Discipline Product’ award at iF Awards 2019

Honor, the distinctive smartphone sub-brand under the Huawei Group participated in the iF Design Awards 2019 and received the “Discipline Product” title for Honor 8X. This makes Honor the first mid-range smartphones brand in the world to receive this prestigious design award.



Every year, iF International Forum Design GmbH organizes one of the world’s most celebrated and valued design competitions — the iF DESIGN AWARD. Recognized as a symbol of design excellence around the world, this forum welcomes over 5,000 submissions from 70 countries every year.

Honor 8X has an immersive 91% screen-to-body ratio display with a metal and glass back panel design. Huawei created the Honor line-up to meet the needs of digital natives through internet-optimized products that offer superior user experiences, inspire action and foster creativity with an affordable price range.

iF award is considered a symbol of quality for exceptional design and outstanding services. This is the reason why manufacturers strive so hard to win the internationally renowned iF label for design. It is one of the most important design awards in the world. Honor 8X and 8X max were launched in September 2018 in the ancient Chinese city of Xi’an. 8X has a 6GB RAM with Octa-core processor and Android 8.1(Oreo). Other amazing features include 16 MP selfie and 20 MP back camera for stunning HD pictures.
