Honor has quietly expanded its Play 80 lineup in China with a new standard model. The Honor Play 80 arrives shortly after the Pro variant. However, it focuses on basic features and an affordable setup. It offers a large display, a modest chipset, and a practical battery for daily use.
The Honor Play 80 features a 6.75-inch LCD screen. It supports a 720×1600 resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. As a result, users can expect smoother scrolling during everyday tasks.
The device runs on the 5G-enabled MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC. However, it still runs Android 15 with Honor’s MagicOS 9. This may feel outdated for 2026.
For cameras, the phone includes a 13MP rear sensor. On the front, it offers a 5MP camera for selfies and video calls.
The device packs a 5,300 mAh battery. It supports 15W wired charging for basic power needs. In terms of size, it measures 167 x 77 x 7.89 mm and weighs 186g.
Honor offers the phone in two shades of blue and black. It comes in four configurations: 4/128GB, 6/128GB, 6/256GB, and 8/256GB.
