Honor Power Redefines Battery Standards: 1 Hour of Call Time with Just 2% Battery

Honor has just shaken up the mid-range smartphone market with the launch of its new Honor Power, a device that puts battery performance at the center of innovation. Packed with a massive 8,000mAh battery, the phone boasts a game-changing feature: even with just 2% charge, it can support up to 1 hour of continuous voice calls, a feat rarely seen in modern smartphones.

But the Honor Power isn’t just about its giant battery. The device manages to keep a slim profile under 8mm thick and weighs only 209 grams, showcasing Honor’s engineering prowess. Its 6.78-inch OLED quad-curved display delivers stunning visuals with a 120Hz refresh rate, 10-bit color depth, and a peak brightness of 4,000 nits, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.

Running on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, the phone offers up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, ensuring smooth performance for everything from multitasking to gaming. It’s also preloaded with Android 15, customized with MagicOS 9, and includes a unique AI Outdoor Mode that adjusts brightness and volume for sunny conditions while optimizing app performance for outdoor scenarios.

On the camera front, the phone features a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization and 4K video recording, accompanied by a 5MP ultra-wide camera. Selfies are handled by a 16MP front camera, all housed in a sleek design available in Snow White, Desert Gold, and Phantom Night Black.

Adding to its outdoor-friendly design, Honor Power includes 10-sided drop resistance, water protection, and even satellite text messaging capability through its C1+ chip, ensuring connectivity in remote areas.

While the 66W fast charging may feel modest given the size of the battery, Honor claims the device can deliver up to 25 hours of video playback, 23 hours of TikTok or internet browsing, and 14 hours of gaming, making it an ideal pick for heavy users.

The Honor Power is currently available in China, with prices starting at approximately $270, and is expected to expand into global markets soon.
