Honor Power2

Phones with massive batteries used to be bulky and heavy, often seen only in rugged designs. Today, silicon-carbon (Si/C) anode technology has changed that. This innovation allows smartphones to pack much higher capacity batteries without adding bulk. Honor’s new Power 2 proves this, boasting a 10,080mAh battery inside a slim 7.98mm body weighing just 216 grams.

The Honor Power 2 comes in Midnight Black, Snowfield White, and Sunrise Orange, inspired by the iPhone 17 Pro. Pricing starts at CNY 2,699 ($385) for the 12/256GB model, while the 12/512GB version costs CNY 2,999 ($428). Sales in China begin on Friday, January 9. Honor has not yet confirmed if the Power2 will launch internationally.

The Power 2’s battery promises over 20 hours of continuous use. Honor says users can expect 26 hours of video playback, 17 hours of GPS navigation, or 14 hours of nonstop gaming. Fast 80W wired charging ensures minimal downtime, and the phone can double as a power bank, delivering up to 27W to other devices.

Beyond its massive battery, the Honor Power 2 includes a 6.79-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen can reach 1,800 nits peak brightness and features a 16MP front camera and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Its body is fully protected with IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings.

Honor Power2 chipset

The Power 2 runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 Elite chipset, paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB or 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. The SoC has an all-big-core CPU design, including a 3.4GHz prime core, three 3.2GHz cores, and four 2.2GHz cores. The Mali-G720 MC8 GPU pushes graphics smoothly, and benchmark tests show over 2.4 million points on AnTuTu.

The camera setup includes a 50MP main lens with f/1.9 aperture and OIS, plus a 5MP ultrawide lens. MagicOS 10, based on Android 16, runs the software, offering a modern Android experience.
