HONOR, the global AI device company, is set to start local smartphone production in Pakistan, partnering with Golden Connect. The move signals a significant step in the brand’s ongoing focus on the Pakistani market.
The new manufacturing facility, located in Lahore’s Sunder Industrial Estate, is expected to begin operations in April 2026. It will follow HONOR’s global standards for quality, compliance, and sustainability, using modern, technology-driven production processes.
Industry observers say local manufacturing could boost HONOR’s market presence by enabling faster product launches, better supply-chain efficiency, and more competitive pricing. Experts also note that such initiatives can support the wider electronics manufacturing sector and create jobs while building technical skills locally.
Designed as a modern production hub, the Sunder Industrial Estate facility features advanced assembly lines, strict quality controls, and scalable capacity. The unit will initially focus on high-demand smartphone models, with plans to expand production in future phases.
Golden Connect, HONOR’s local partner, brings experience in large-scale operations and regulatory compliance. Their collaboration ensures the facility meets both international standards and local rules.
By producing smartphones locally, HONOR aims to strengthen retail confidence, enhance after-sales support, and accelerate growth across Pakistan, highlighting the country’s importance in the company’s regional strategy.
