Honor has launched a rather unusual hybrid device that blends two everyday gadgets into one product. The Honor Choice MouseBuds Pro looks like a simple wireless mouse at first glance, but it also hides a surprise inside. A pair of wireless earbuds is stored directly within the mouse body and charges there as well.
What makes this design stand out is the built-in storage system. The back portion of the mouse opens up to reveal a compartment for the earbuds. This setup removes the need for carrying a separate charging case. It also cuts down on extra accessories and cables. Once the mouse is connected through the included wireless receiver, the earbuds are automatically ready to use without any manual pairing steps.
Honor has also built in two different usage modes to support different devices. When used with a computer, both the mouse and earbuds connect through the wireless receiver for a stable connection. On the other hand, smartphone mode allows the earbuds to switch to Bluetooth and function independently. A single button is used to toggle between these modes, which makes switching between work and entertainment much easier.
The mouse uses a PixArt optical sensor with 1200 DPI. This level of sensitivity is aimed at daily tasks like browsing, office work, and general navigation. The left and right buttons use TTC quiet switches, which are rated for up to 5 million clicks. These switches are designed to reduce clicking noise, especially in shared workspaces. In addition, the surface has an excimer coating that feels smooth to the touch and helps resist fingerprints and wear over time. The overall shape follows a simple ergonomic design for comfortable handling.
The earbuds bring their own set of features as well. They use a semi-open fit that keeps them comfortable for longer use. Adaptive active noise cancellation helps reduce surrounding noise without fully isolating the ear. For calls, dual microphones supported by AI-based noise reduction improve voice clarity. Audio output is handled by dual-magnetic dynamic drivers with an LCP diaphragm, which is tuned for stronger bass and balanced sound performance.
Powering the whole setup is a 1000 mAh battery, which can last up to 30 days depending on usage patterns. Charging is handled through a USB-C port. In terms of size, the mouse measures 112 × 60 × 34 mm. It weighs 78 grams without the earbuds inside, and 88 grams when they are stored. The device supports Windows 10 and later versions, along with macOS 10.13 and above.
Pricing has been set at €99.90 in Germany and £79.99 in the UK, positioning it as a niche but practical hybrid accessory for users who want fewer gadgets on their desk.
