Honor has officially launched the new X9e Pro in Malaysia. The phone stands out with a huge 11,000mAh battery and a very bright display. It also shares several core specifications with the Honor X80 Pro Max, launched earlier in June.
The X9e Pro uses silicon-carbon anode technology to fit its large battery into the phone. Honor says the battery can deliver over 164 hours of music streaming. It can also provide 35 hours of short-form video playback and over 66 hours of regular video playback. Honor also claims the battery can maintain its health for six years. The company based this estimate on average daily use of 6 hours. When the battery runs low, 80W wired charging can top it up quickly.
The phone can also work as a power bank through 27W reverse wired charging. Meanwhile, its display measures 6.8 inches and uses LTPS AMOLED technology. It offers a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display can reach a peak brightness of 10,000 nits during HDR video playback. However, that level is only reached in isolated areas of the screen. The X9e Pro also improves the selfie camera over the X80 Pro Max.
Honor has fitted the new phone with a 16MP front camera. The X80 Pro Max, in comparison, uses an 8MP selfie camera. At the back, the X9e Pro keeps the same 108MP main camera with a 1/1.67-inch sensor. The main camera is paired with a 5MP ultrawide camera. The X9e Pro runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset. It comes with 8GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of storage.
The phone also carries an IP69K rating for protection against water and dust. Honor says its lab testing included 100,000 repeated water submersion tests. On the software side, the phone runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16. The Honor X9e Pro is available in Royal Purple, Reddish Brown, Dawn Gold, and Midnight Black. In Malaysia, the 8GB/256GB model costs MYR 1,899 ($464). The 512GB version is priced at MYR 2,399 ($587).
