Honor’s Next Foldable May Target Samsung and Apple With a Wider Display

Published by

Honor appears ready to show its foldable phone lineup, according to a recent tip. Sources suggest the company may retire the Magic Vs series entirely and replace it with a new foldable design.

This change does not affect the main Magic V lineup, which is expected to get its next release next month. However, fans hoping for a V Flip successor will be disappointed, as the tip indicates it will not arrive in 2026.

Leaks hint that Honor’s new device could feature a wider display, following the trend set by the upcoming iPhone Fold, the Oppo Find N7, and the rumored Samsung “Wide Fold.” Early reports suggest a 4:3 aspect ratio, which is expected to be a major design trend in 2026.

A 4:3 screen would make the new foldable noticeably wider than the current Magic Vs3. Unlike Samsung, which may reserve the wider display for its premium Z Fold model, Honor seems to be using it to replace its more affordable Magic Vs lineup. Apple, on the other hand, plans to use the wider display for its only foldable model.
