Huawei MatePad 12 X 2025 Debuts with PaperMatte Display
Huawei has introduced its latest tablet, the MatePad 12 X 2025, bringing upgraded performance alongside its well-known PaperMatte Display. The device blends high-end hardware with a design aimed at both productivity and entertainment.
Display and Performance
The MatePad 12 X 2025 features a 12-inch LCD screen with a 2800 × 1840 resolution, up to 1,000 nits brightness, HDR Vivid support, and a 144 Hz adaptive refresh rate. Its PaperMatte coating reduces glare and mimics paper texture, making it easier on the eyes. The display also supports stylus input, including the Huawei M-Pencil Pro.
It runs on the Kirin T92B chip paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, with a 3D vapor chamber to manage heat. It ships with HarmonyOS 4.3.
For imaging, the tablet has a 50MP rear camera with an LED flash and an 8MP front camera. It also packs six speakers and dual microphones for clear audio. Power comes from a 10,100 mAh battery with 66W fast charging, while connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.2.
According to the leak, the MatePad 12 X 2025 is 5.9 mm thin, weighs 555 g, and comes in green and white. It is priced at £599 for the 12GB/256GB Wi-Fi-only variant.
