The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced a power suspension schedule for Sunday in several areas across its service region due to maintenance and routine development work.
According to an IESCO spokesperson, electricity supply in parts of Attock Circle will remain suspended from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The outage will affect consumers connected to the Industrial Estate Bahtar and Hussain Abad feeders.
In Chakwal Circle, power supply will remain suspended from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in areas served by the Mureed, Jamal Wal, and Mengan feeders.
Several areas under the GSO Circle will also experience power interruptions at different times during the day.
Electricity supply will remain suspended from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. on the 132kV Circuit Breaker ISD-5, which controls the 132kV Zero Point-I-8 circuit.
From 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the suspension will affect the 132kV AWC HMC Taxila and 132kV Sangjani-Burhan lines.
Meanwhile, power supply will remain suspended from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the 132kV Kahuta City-Palandri and 132kV New Wah-Bahtermore lines, along with related earth switches and surrounding areas.
IESCO apologized to consumers for the temporary disruption and said electricity supply would be restored earlier if the scheduled maintenance work is completed ahead of time.
Consumers in the affected areas have been advised to plan accordingly during the scheduled outage hours.
