Ignite (National Technology Fund) has officially announced a massive opportunity for the local ecosystem. Operating under the Ministry of IT & Telecom (MoITT), the organisation is now accepting applications for the Prime Minister’s Cloud Program for Startups.
This one-year national initiative aims to accelerate growth for Pakistani tech startups. Specifically, the program helps founders adopt, optimise, and scale their cloud infrastructure while significantly reducing operational costs.
The initiative is designed to strengthen Pakistan’s digital startup ecosystem. It combines tiered reimbursement with collaboration. Selected startups will work directly with leading Cloud Service Providers (CSPs).
Furthermore, the program offers three core benefits:
Ignite is looking for Pakistani tech startups at the early deployment or scaling stage. To be eligible, your startup must offer a technology-based product or service.
Additionally, applicants must use, or plan to use, cloud infrastructure. You must demonstrate growth potential and a readiness to scale. Crucially, you must clearly justify that your cloud usage aligns with your business needs.
The process begins with an online application. Admission is based on a competitive selection process. If selected, you will receive a formal offer. This offer details your tier, cloud credit limit, and agreed KPIs (such as user growth and revenue).
Once approved, you use cloud services from your chosen CSP using your own funds. Subsequently, you submit invoices for verification. The program then reimburses you according to your approved percentage. However, participants must report quarterly on cloud usage and impact against agreed metrics.
Do not miss this deadline. You must apply online through the official portal.
Be part of this national effort to build and scale on the cloud while keeping your infrastructure costs under control.
