Ignite National Technology Fund has announced the reopening of enrolments for DigiSkills 3.0 (Batch-02), offering 300,000 free training seats on a first-come, first-served basis to boost Pakistan’s digital and freelancing ecosystem.
Launched in 2018 under the Ministry of IT & Telecom, the DigiSkills initiative is Pakistan’s largest online learning platform, developed in collaboration with the Virtual University of Pakistan. It has trained over four million learners across 300 cities, including 800,000 women, promoting digital inclusion and entrepreneurship nationwide.
According to Ignite, enrolment is now open for the second batch of DigiSkills 3.0. Interested candidates must create an account on the DigiSkills website and choose two courses from a selection of 16 available options. Those previously registered can log in directly to their Learning Management System (LMS) to enroll.
“Due to high demand, enrolments will close immediately once all 300,000 seats are filled,” a DigiSkills spokesperson stated.
The new batch will begin in December 2025, continuing the government’s mission to enhance digital literacy and provide employable skills to youth.
The upgraded DigiSkills 3.0, approved in April 2025 with a Rs. 1.79 billion budget, expands its offerings from 15 to 25 free online courses, including AI using Python, Full Stack Development (MERN), Cloud Computing, Shopify & Drop Shipping, UI/UX Design, and 3D Modeling.
New entrepreneurship-focused courses such as Startup Strategies and Business Innovation have also been added to promote self-employment and startup culture.
Since its inception, DigiSkills has significantly contributed to Pakistan’s digital economy, helping thousands of freelancers earn globally recognized certifications and income through platforms like Fiverr and Upwork.
“Our goal is to prepare Pakistan’s youth for the future of work,” said an Ignite official.
