Indian Army College of Nursing Website Hacked by Alleged Pakistani Hackers Amid Geo-Political Tensions

In another development following the recent terrorist attack in Indian-Occupied Kashmir’s Pahalgam, the Army College of Nursing website was hacked, allegedly by a Pakistan-based hacker collective known as Team Insane PK. The cyberattack is being viewed as a digital retaliation amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan.
Just two days prior, India had rolled out a series of diplomatic and strategic measures against Pakistan. These included the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, expelling defense advisors from the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi by declaring them “persona non grata,” and revoking all Pakistani visas—except for long-term ones issued to Hindu Pakistani nationals. The Indian government gave most Pakistani nationals in India a 72-hour deadline to exit the country.
Pakistan, in turn, announced its own retaliatory actions. Officials in Islamabad stated that they would “exercise the right” to freeze all bilateral agreements, including the pivotal Simla Agreement. Furthermore, Pakistan declared the closure of its airspace to Indian airlines, disrupting several international and domestic flight routes. This move is expected to impact cargo and trade logistics in the region.
Amid the escalating standoff, the Indian Army College of Nursing website was hacked, with attackers reportedly leaving behind inflammatory messages referencing the two-nation theory. The messages appeared to be aimed at stoking further tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.
According to NDTV, while the institution operates autonomously under the Army Welfare Education Society, it will need assistance from the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In)—the national nodal body for cyber incident response—to address the breach and secure the platform.
The aftermath of Pahalgam attack sparked a wave of reactions on social media platforms as users from both sides exchanged barbs. Many Pakistani accounts shared memes mocking India’s recent measures, treating the threat of a potential war with sarcasm and digital trolling.
As diplomatic ties continue to fray and digital confrontations escalate, experts warn that the cyber front could become an increasingly volatile component of the Indo-Pak conflict.
