Infinix has unveiled XOS 16, its latest take on Android 16, with a clear focus on design, personalization, and smarter software. The new update reshapes how future Infinix smartphones will look and feel. At the same time, it adds a wide range of useful AI tools that aim to improve daily tasks without making things complicated.
The first thing users will notice is the updated design language called Glow-space. Infinix has refined the interface to look cleaner and more modern. It also introduced new liquid motion animations that feel faster and smoother. As a result, moving between apps and menus feels more fluid than before.
Personalization plays a big role in XOS 16. Users get redesigned system app icons, fresh wallpapers, and new lock screen styles. Custom themes allow deeper control over the phone’s appearance. There is also an optional depth effect for both the lock screen and home screen. In addition, an AI theme generator can create themes based on text or image input, giving users more creative freedom.
Folax, the built-in assistant, now sits at the center of many smart features. AI Note helps turn rough sketches into cleaner and more presentable visuals. Meanwhile, AI Recording Summary can generate instant transcripts and summaries without manual effort. Flash Memo captures on-screen content and creates summaries and tags, making it easier to find information later.
Infinix has also upgraded calling features. The new AI Call Assistant offers real-time translation during calls. It can also generate call summaries and auto-answer important calls. For students, XOS 16 includes tools for translating text, scanning documents, writing content, and solving more complex questions. These additions aim to make the phone more helpful in daily learning.
The camera app also benefits from these updates. It now includes a built-in eraser tool to remove unwanted objects. Users can also extend images directly within the app. These features reduce the need for third-party editing apps.
Gamers receive several system-level enhancements as well. XOS 16 offers performance modes, including performance, balanced, and power saving. Users can switch between them depending on their needs. Infinix also enables bypass charging to reduce heat during long gaming sessions. Frame interpolation improves visual smoothness, while Magic Voice Changer 2.0 adds adjustable voice profiles for in-game communication.
XOS 16 will ship out of the box on upcoming Infinix smartphones. The company also plans to roll out the update to current and older Infinix devices at a later stage.
