Innovation Xtreme, for the uninitiated, is a content and event platform for startups, businesses and entrepreneurs. The event aims to bring together a breed of entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, startup founders, industry professionals, and innovation enthusiasts—in short, the whole entrepreneurial ecosystem alongside local and international media—who share the passion for bringing about a positive change in the society.

The central theme for Innovation Xtreme this year is ‘Innovation in Bangladesh’. The event will specifically highlight the success stories related to Bangladeshi and South Asian startup environment to motivate further growth. 4 leading ventures and 10 handpicked Bangladeshi startups will also be showcased at the event who will then pitch to the VCs.

“Through this one-day annual Innovation Xtreme event – we will showcase the potential of innovators and entrepreneurs in Bangladesh that currently exists. And by bringing international and local investors, entrepreneurs, businesses under one roof, the event will work as catalyst to deepen the interest about the internet based local economy,” said Mustafizur Khan, CEO & Founder of Startup Dhaka, during the press briefing.

From Pakistan, Ms. Kalsoom Lakhani, Founder-CEO of startup accelerator Invest2Innovate (i2i) will participate in the event to share her extensive experience and views regarding Pakistani and South Asian startup community and opportunities with the local Bangladeshi audience. She will take part in a fireside chat on ‘Role of accelerator in creating investment ready startups’ alongside Samad Miraly from StartupDhaka and Ejaj Ahmed of BYLC. Ms. Lakhani will also address the workshop ‘How to get your startup funding ready’ during the course of the event.

Innovation Xtreme is set to take place at Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel, Dhaka, Bangladesh on November 22nd, 2014. More information on event agenda, speakers, and sessions can be viewed on the official I/X website.

The title sponsor for the event is GrameenPhone, one of the leading telecom operators in the country. TechJuice.pk is one of the media partners for the event, which marks first of its kind occurrence where a Pakistani online media outlet has collaborated with Bangladesh-based startup event.
