A widespread internet outage disrupted services across Islamabad on Sunday, affecting all major mobile network operators in the capital. The disruption hit Nayatel, PTCL, Jazz, Ufone, and Zong, leaving users without connectivity for extended periods.
Mobile banking applications, including EasyPaisa and JazzCash, also experienced service interruptions as a result of the outage. Social media platforms were reported to be severely affected as well, with users across the city facing difficulty accessing them.
The cause of the disruption has not yet been determined. Authorities have not issued a statement on when normal service is expected to resume.
