The Islamabad High Court has issued a revised winter vacation schedule, shifting the holiday period for the federal capital’s district courts. The update adjusts the earlier announced dates, providing clarity for lawyers, litigants, and court staff as the year end break approaches.
In a notification issued on Monday, the Registrar Office confirmed that East and West district courts will now observe winter vacations from December 24, 2025 to January 1, 2026.
Courts will reopen and resume regular operations on January 2, 2026.
An earlier notification had set the holidays from January 1 to January 8, 2026. However, the updated schedule replaces the previous plan, allowing the courts to avoid overlap with the first working week of the new year.
A court official shared that the revised dates aim to “ensure smoother case management during the holiday period.”
