Islamabad Capital Territory Police has received approval for 1,934 new positions, to be filled across the Special Protection Unit and the Law and Order Division of the force.
The new posts have been divided into two operational categories, with 997 positions allocated for the protection of VIPs and sensitive installations across the federal capital.
A further 937 positions have been approved specifically to strengthen law and order operations, reflecting growing security demands within the federal capital territory.
The recruitment drive will bring in 1,580 constables and 180 head constables, forming the core of the expanded operational strength across both newly approved divisions.
An additional 24 inspector-level posts have been sanctioned to provide supervisory oversight of field operations, ensuring structured command across the newly expanded police formations.
The force will also recruit 100 assistant sub-inspectors and 50 sub-inspectors, who will be directly inducted as part of the frontline operational strength.
All financial costs associated with the new recruitments will be met from the existing federal police budget, with no additional allocation required from other government funds.
