Islamabad Schools to Receive 8,000 Chromebooks as Part of Tech Integration Initiative

Islamabad: The Federal Ministry of Education has taken a significant step towards equipping government schools in Islamabad with modern technology. As part of this initiative, the ministry has awarded a contract for the supply of 8,000 Chromebooks, aiming to integrate digital learning tools into classrooms.

The procurement procedure was conducted by the National Book Foundation through an online bidding system that involved the opening of tenders in the presence of company representatives.  Out of the 11 total bidders, the contract was awarded to the lowest bidder among the 10 qualifying companies that participated in the financial tender procedure.

According to Talat Saeed, a committee member, educational institutions will receive Chromebooks from suppliers within the next two months.  He proposed the implementation of quality control measures that would be enforced rigorously in order to ensure the production of high-quality devices.

This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to modernizing the education sector by incorporating technology to improve learning outcomes for students.
