ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, held an interactive session today with over 40 prominent freelancers and digital influencers at the Ministry’s office in Islamabad.
Notable participants included Bilal Munir (Video Wali Sarkar), Lamia Khan, Saad Kaisar, Sara Ali, Malik Waleed, Arsalan Munir, and Ayesha Mughal. The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen collaboration between the government and Pakistan’s thriving freelance and digital community and to explore ways to accelerate technological growth and digital inclusion.
During the discussion, the Minister emphasized the urgent need to promote digital registration and ensure the time-bound implementation of IT reforms across all sectors. She highlighted that information technology is playing a transformative role in governance and economic transparency.
She also shared that various mobile applications have been launched to provide public services more efficiently, reflecting the government’s commitment to making digital tools accessible and citizen-friendly.
Ms. Shaza Fatima reiterated the government’s dedication to empowering freelancers, youth, and tech entrepreneurs through supportive policies, training opportunities, and a digital ecosystem that promotes creativity and economic empowerment.
