Jamming Devices Detected on Indo-Pak Border

Increased GPS signal disruptions have been reported along the India-Pakistan border, pointing to heightened electronic warfare activities between the two neighboring countries. The development reflects growing military readiness and the increasing use of modern technology in regional defense strategies.
Both India and Pakistan are reported to have deployed electronic warfare (EW) units in sensitive border areas. Electronic warfare involves the use of electromagnetic spectrum operations, including GPS jamming and signal interference, to gain a strategic advantage over adversaries.
In a recent tweet, defense observer Professor highlighted the situation, noting that both sides have positioned their electronic warfare assets along the border. The tweet also pointed out that India not only has a greater number of EW units but also possesses more sophisticated capabilities compared to Pakistan. “Things are getting serious now,” the post warned, capturing rising concerns over the situation.

According to defence analysts, India holds the most technologically advanced electronic warfare systems in the region that perform communication disruption while complicating satellite navigation and neutralising enemy radar interference. Pakistan oversees electronic warfare assets but maintains operations at a reduced scale because it continues investments to advance its EW capabilities.
While no official confirmation has been made by either government regarding the recent GPS jamming incidents, experts predict that such heightened electronic warfare activities in the region would likely lead to situations involving inaccurate data or undesirable escalation.
Authorities and security analysts are closely monitoring developments, urging both sides to manage tensions carefully and prioritise open communication channels to maintain stability along the border.
