Aalto University Finland Scholarship 2026 Opens For Masters Students

The Government of Japan has officially announced the MEXT Teachers Training Scholarship 2026 for Pakistani teachers, offering a valuable opportunity to conduct research and professional training in school education at Japanese universities.

The scholarship, offered by Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), is a non-degree program designed specifically for teachers. Selected candidates will take part in structured training and research related to school education and will receive a certificate upon completion. The program does not lead to bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degrees and focuses purely on professional development.

The program generally begins in October, with Japanese language training provided before academic activities start, as most research guidance and coursework are conducted in Japanese. This initiative reflects Japan’s long-standing commitment to educational cooperation and capacity building for teachers from partner countries, including Pakistan.

Applicants must be born on or after April 2, 1991, hold a university degree or teacher-training qualification, and have at least five years of teaching experience at the primary or secondary level, or at a teacher training institution, by October 1, 2026. University faculty members are not eligible. Candidates must also show the intellectual and psychological readiness to live and study in Japan for around 18 months and demonstrate a willingness to learn the Japanese language.

According to the official announcement, the last date to submit applications is February 12, 2026. Detailed guidelines and application forms are available on the Embassy of Japan in Pakistan’s official website.
