The latest official data for January 2026 shows continued shifts in Pakistan’s mobile telecommunications market, with Jazz and Telenor Pakistan losing ground, while Zong and Ufone strengthened their positions.

Jazz’s market share declined to 36.62 percent in January, down from 36.8 percent in December and 37.09 percent in November 2025. Telenor Pakistan’s share also slid further to 21.39 percent, from 21.46 percent in December and 21.51 percent in November, reflecting mounting competitive pressure in an increasingly saturated market.

In contrast, Zong consolidated its position with a slight increase to 26.57 percent in January, up from 26.5 percent in December and 26.47 percent in November. Ufone also posted steady gains, climbing to 14.38 percent in January, up from 14.17 percent in December and 13.89 percent in November.

Meanwhile, SCO maintained a marginal footprint of 1.04 percent in the market during January.

Analysts say the ongoing shifts reflect aggressive pricing, new product offerings, and targeted marketing strategies by Zong and Ufone, which have allowed them to attract subscribers from competitors in a highly competitive telecom environment.
