K-Electric will shut down power on 29 of its 2,129 feeders across Karachi on July 08, 2026, for scheduled transformer maintenance in various parts of the city, the utility announced.
The maintenance work will be carried out between 8:00 AM and 11:00 PM, with timings varying by location, KE said. Residents in the affected areas are expected to face outages ranging from a minimum of 8 hours to a maximum of 15 hours, depending on the feeder and locality.
The company said the shutdowns are necessary to carry out upkeep on transformers serving different neighborhoods. The temporary suspension of supply is likely to disrupt daily routines for residents in the affected areas during the maintenance window.
