Karachi IT Park Tenders to Float This Month: RFP Almost Finalised
While Islamabad prepares for a launch, the Karachi IT Park is gearing up for its next major administrative milestone. In a meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on IT, the Project Director, Mr. Amir Ahmad, provided a fresh timeline for the port city’s upcoming tech hub.
The Project Director announced that the Request for Proposal (RFP) is currently in its final stage. Moving quickly, the administration plans to float the tender for the Karachi IT Park by the end of this month, December 2025.
This step is critical for the selection of the contractor who will bring the project to life. The authorities are prioritising a transparent and swift selection process to get boots on the ground as soon as possible.
Once the administration issues the tenders this month, the clock starts ticking for the next phase. The Project Director confirmed that the team will finalise the contract within three months. This puts the project on a steady track to commence actual construction in early 2026, marking a significant step forward for Karachi’s IT infrastructure.
