Karachi Pink Bus Gets New Route & Timings for Women

Karachi’s women-only Pink Bus Service has introduced a new route from Abdullah Chowk to Numaish along with fixed travel timings starting November 17, 2025, making daily commuting safer and easier for women.

The Pink Bus Service was launched to provide women with a safe, affordable, and dependable public transport option. It has been widely welcomed since its expansion last year, especially after the addition of 18 new buses to the fleet.

According to Sindh Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, the Pink Bus will now operate at three dedicated timings daily:

  • 8am to 9am
  • 1pm to 2pm
  • 5pm to 7pm

He emphasized that women’s comfort and safety remain top priorities.

“This service will help reduce the difficulties women face during daily travel in a large city like Karachi,” he said.

The buses are equipped with security measures, tracking systems, and trained staff to ensure safe travel. The minister added that the government plans to expand the service to more areas, further supporting women in education, employment, and mobility.

Sharjeel stated,

“This is a meaningful move toward a safe urban environment for women, and the government will continue introducing such facilities.”

With Rs50 fare and free travel for girls under five, the Pink Bus continues to serve as an essential transport option for women in the city. Meanwhile, the second phase of the Pink Scooty Scheme is also set to begin soon to further empower women commuters.
